Sarah and Jake at Powell Gardens and Union
Sarah and Jake were married in May with a modern garden vibe and lush floral in a fresh palette of peach, yellow and green.
The ceremony was held in the iconic chapel set in the woods of Powell Gardens. We focused on large floral columns full of spring flowers to frame the couple. Petite aisle pieces added color as Sarah walked down toward the altar space. Following the ceremony, we repurposed the aisle flowers around at the head table and the floral columns became a photo backdrop for guests.
Sarah’s bouquet was truly a statement piece. We used lilac, garden roses, anthurium, butterfly ranunculus, calla lilies and hanging amaranth. It smelled amazing!
Guests then headed to Union in the Crossroads neighborhood in Kansas City. The third floor held the dinner tables and we loaded them with feminine, petite florals and candles. The head table was a dynamic focal point holding bud vases, fuller floral compotes and ikebana pieces. Over all the tables, we hung greenery and white delphinium for the ultimate garden atmosphere.
