Britney and Jesse at Crossroads Hotel

Britney and Jesse got married at the end of September at Crossroads Hotel, a boutique award winning hotel in the Crossroads Arts District of Kansas City, MO. They chose the atrium to host the ceremony for 12 of their closest family and friends.

The hotel itself has a darker color scheme and somewhat masculine vibe so we wanted to compliment that with a muted, fall inspired palette of neutrals, gold, dusty pink and burgundy.

Britney’s bouquet is my new favorite style: petite and small, but composed of lush blooms. We only used the greenery from the roses to break up the color, without any additional added. The dijon garden roses from Rose Story Farm were so dreamy and smelled amazing. The petite bridal bouquet complimented her amazing dress by Aesling Bride so nicely, without competing with the details. The sheer sleeves were so chic and so so good.

We created a low ground installation for the ceremony, with a slight bend to curve around the couple. It was based in hardy ingredients like olive branches, smokebush, dried hydrangea and sedum. Then we clustered in the roses, butterfly ranunculus and reflexed tulips to act as the focal point. Small accent pieces marked the mini aisle and then were later placed on the reception table.
