Baby Shower in a Cloud
The chicest baby shower you’ll ever see! Kaley, aka Kaley from Kansas, hosted a summer baby shower in her studio and completely transformed the space. Her vision was a mix of maximalist and minimalist using layers of fabric and draping to create an all white cloud. We added modern, minimal flowers that could still make a statement within the fabric walls.
The table centerpieces were simple but fun and innovative. Clear glass cylinders held 1—2 calla lilies that twisted, curled and looped in the cylinder. Silver candlesticks accented the florals and matched the silver food platters. The food was also chic and styled so well, because of course it was!
The overhead installation really stole the show and completed the whole look of the room. We used large calla lilies and suspended them over the table from a couple pieces of wavy chicken wire. Proof that something impactful, doesn’t need to have loads and loads of flowers.
A focal point piece was used for photos with guests and to add more color to the white room. The green hydrangea and green hanging amaranth were the perfect compliment to the large white callas.
The final piece was maybe one of my favorite things I made last year, an orchid clutch. It was composed of all white dendrobium orchids and silver chicken wire to match the aesthetic of the shower. She looked so cute holding it, especially in her matching set.
