So, I suck at blogging. It's true. Today is the first day I blogged since December of 2016. Yikes! I'm trying to get better, I really am. That's why I'm doing four posts today! Hey! Everything will even out and become more consistent. I promise :)

We've been in our cute lil shop for two years now. And it is getting CRAMPED. I still love it, don't get me wrong. It's just a very tight squeeze in there now. I shouldn't be complaining. This means we have more stuff and we have more weddings and events to use the stuff. I should be happy! But it is hard working in cluttered environment. We've been debating on whether or not we should move. We always have our eyes and ears open for available space and if something amazing pops up, then yes we will probably take it. BUT. Our rent is really cheap, we are right next to an alley which is great for first Fridays, and we have the potential to take over more space in the same building, eventually. We just don't know how long eventually will take. We are also in need of a bigger vehicle, which may be more pressing than a bigger space. So who knows?!?!?!?

Here are some of the things we have been up to since the new year!

EA Bride

We did a photoshoot with EA Bride to be featured in their Spring/Summer Issue. The theme was mauve and ultra violet meets whimsical, spring wonderland. We are great at whimsical so obviously we killed it! To check out the issue, go here! Or go pick up the magazine to see the images in print!

Donna’s Dress Shop

Donna's Dress Shop hosted a wedding showcase featuring vintage and new dresses. We made them the perfect pastel hued bouquet and hung birdcages and chandeliers dripping with flowers above the collection. It was a match made in heaven :)

The Nelson Atkins Art Museum

The Nelson Atkins YFA hosted Party Arty: Masquerade this past January.  We got to decorate the fountain! We knew that we wanted to create a huge flower bomb, perfect for posing guests. It was such a hit!

We cleaned up the flower bomb from Party Arty and decided to create a new bomb in front of Donna's! Repurposing at it's finest! This time we put out a sign encouraging any passerby to grab a bloom. Since it was the same weekend as their wedding showcase, the shop was packed! So many people got to take flowers home to brighten their day :)

New Orleans

The week after all the business of January we took a trip to New Orleans to get inspiration for our huge upcoming event Bayou Bash! Muuuuch longer post to come about that magical place :)

Horizon Academy's Bayou Bash was the biggest event we have done so far!  50 Tables plus buffet arrangements, welcome arrangements, cocktail arrangements, and more! We had quite a team to help us and we can't wait to further our partnership with Horizon Academy.

Stylized Shoot

At the end of February we participated in a stylized shoot with some amazing vendors (view the shoot here). It was so fun to style a new type of altar. Made by the photographer's boyfriend!
