Crossroads Hotel Styled Shoot

After a busy spring wedding season, we have had a slower summer with less weddings and more time off. When we have extra time, it’s fun to create and explore with other vendors. This shoot at Crossroads Hotel was the perfect way to do so. Keasha of True Love Coordinating and Design gave us full reign with the florals and we were able to create something truly fun and inspiring. Luckily we both have a love of yellow, so that obviously that was our focal point color.

The hotel has a modern, upscale, industrial vibe so we wanted to compliment that with the florals and decor. Both the ceremony and tables featured custom hanging lighting by Le Luci to enhance the tall ceilings of the atrium. A mix of pedestals in various finishes, some wooded, some acrylic and some with ribbed edges provided the backdrop for the ceremony florals. Two larger installations were placed in the center with smaller, whimsical ikebana style pieces to accent.

For the head table, a serpentine table from Ultrapom was filled with bud vases of different styles, shapes, sizes and colors. Some were filled with single stems and others slightly fuller. Clusters of taper and pillar candles broke up the bud vase compositions. Table settings from Citrus Table completed the look with napkins matching the seafood green tapers candles perfectly.

We create two different bouquets, one composed of all yellow orchids and the other color blocked with a small mix of blooms. A sculptural neck piece was the final part of the shoot, gracing the shoulders of the model in a pale yellow suit.

All of the vendors really came together for the one and it was a great way to experiment and have fun during a slower season.
